Get your water-taxi to or from Christmas Village which is located on the Northwest Tramping/Hiking Circuit of Stewart Island.

The water-taxi trip to or from this destination enables the passenger to save approximately 2-3 days of walking which can save on carrying food for the long hike, or give your already tired legs a break from the last kilometres. It is the closest hut/point to start a climb of Stewart Island's tallest hill, Mount Anglem - Hananui, if weather allows, spectacular views are met from here.

Departure is typically from Golden Bay Wharf Return from Christmas Village is approximately 45 minutes to just over an hour after departing from Golden Bay Wharf Please be at the departing location 10 mins prior to departure time.

Please also note that the return trip for the water-taxi is approximately the same distance as going to Bluff (South Island) and half-way back - just over 30 knautical miles. This is why Christmas Village is one our most expensive destinations.
